What are 'Set Texts'?

These are works of literature - usually novels - that are studied in advance of the CAE exam and can be written on in Paper 2 (Writing) as an optional question.

What are the current Set Texts?

For 2014 the set texts are:

  • William Golding: The Lord of the Flies
  • P.D. James: The Lighthouse

2011 Set Text Podcasts: Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
