Content Should
discuss all the points mentioned in the task notes, i.e. event ideas, costs and
publicity. It should also evaluate the practicality of the ideas that are proposed. |

analysis and recommendation/ evaluation (e.g. "Such an idea would work because....";
"We should also consider"). Vocabulary for measuring the costs
of an event (e.g. 'cover costs', 'break even', 'keep/stick to our budget', etc.)
could be used. |
Organisation
The proposal can have a similar format to a report, i.e. divided into clear paragraphs
with appropriate headings for each section. The aim or scope of the proposal should
be clearly stated early on. |
Register
Should be on the formal side even though the committee members are friends. (Note:
Proposals are often given a wide circulation so it is better to keep to a formal
style.) |
Target reader The other
committee members would be informed and be able to use your proposal as the basis
for discussion at the next meeting. |
Language
accuracy Does not have to be completely accurate but any errors should
be minimal. |
