"Need advice for listening test"
Hello,

I have some difficulties in preparing for the listening test:

I generally do understand the spoken tests, but I can't remember the content or the information given and then I'm unable to answer the questions.

Often I don't get parts of the information and content at all.

Please, can anoyone give me some advice on how to cope best with the listening papers?

Writing the information while listening neither is a good choice because then I can't follow up to the rest of the text.

I'll be grateful for any reply.

Hi!
I always fill in the gaps while listening. Otherwise I wouldn't have a chance. Usually, the pieces of information which are important do not follow each other so quickly that you can't make any notes. Besides, you can hear all the texts except of one twice. So if you miss one gap you can fill it in while listening for the second time.
After having listened twice you can correct your notes and transfer them to the separate answer sheet!
Anyway, probably everybody has their own methods.
Good luck!
Djinga

Hello!

Gap filling must be done even from the first listening. However, it is a note-taking exercises. Perhaps you can write key words to help you as there will be time to complete them later.

You need to work on listening techniques and, of course, understanding the purpose of each task. You can find a bit of help on that here:

Good luck!

For me listening seems the most difficult paper. It's not because I don't understand what they speak but I just can't find the right answer during listening - especially during multiple matching! However, as far as note-taking/sentence filling is concerned, I write only beginnings of the words and later (during second listening or after it) complete them. For example I write: 'ance' instead of 'ancestor'... Nevertheless, I get usually about 50 per cent
Any other ideas how to cope with these tasks? How do you cope with multiple matching?

Best wishes,
Agata
