SUGGESTED ANSWERS:

1. There IS NO DOUBT THE TOWN WILL BE SUBJECTED/EXPOSED to further flooding.

2. They RAN INTO PRACTICAL PROBLEMS FORCING THEM TO WITHDRAW from the new technology.


3. The book is PROBABLY TOO COMPLICATED TO BE USED /SERVE AS an introductory text.

4. The respondents OMITTED TO WRITE OUT/IN the final part of the questionnaire.

5. On an excursion to Mount Vernon I WAS SOAKED TO THE SKIN in a rainstorm.

6. There HAS BEEN A SUBSTANTIAL CUTBACK IN THE AMOUNT of garbage produced due to the recycling program.


7. I’d prefer YOU TO CALL ME Dr Jenkins.
I'd prefer IT IF THEY CALLED ME Dr Jenkins.
